The Lord Attenborough CBE Hon. President

Lord Attenborough is an internationally respected actor, film producer and director, responsible for a succession of highly successful films including: Oh! What a Lovely War, A Bridge Too Far, the Oscar winning Gandhi and Shadowlands. He is also Life Vice President of Chelsea Football Club, President of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, The Muscular Dystrophy Group of Great Britain and Chancellor of the University of Sussex. He was a Founding Trustee of The Foundation for Sport and the Arts from 1991 to 2003.

Sir Tim Rice

Sir Tim Rice is responsible for the words of a string of enormously successful musicals both in theatre and cinema, notably; The Lion King, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Chess. He holds several important positions in the cricket world and was President of MCC in 2002/3.

The Lord Brabazon of Tara

Lord Brabazon is a former Government Minister who, during the period from 1984 to his retirement at the 1992 General Election, held portfolios at the Department of Transport and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. He is Chairman of the Committees in the House of Lords, President of the United Kingdom Warehousing Association and a Deputy Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight.
Nicholas Allott

Nicholas Allott is Managing Director of the Cameron Mackintosh Group of Companies, which includes an international theatrical production division and a group of seven West End theatres. Cameron Mackintosh’s current productions include Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera and Mary Poppins. In addition, he is the Chair of the Soho Theatre, is a Trustee of Motivation and the Roundhouse Trust and is the Managing Trustee of the Mackintosh Foundation.
Dame Janet Baker CH DBE

Dame Janet Baker was an internationally acclaimed singer for over thirty years. Honoured in many countries, she was made CBE in 1970, DBE in 1979 and Companion of Honour in 1994. She is a member of the Munster Trust, a Freeman of the City of York and a Trustee of the Foundation for Sport and the Arts since its inauguration in 1991.
The Rt Hon Sir Christopher Chataway

Sir Christopher represented Great Britain in the 1952 and 1956 Olympic Games and broke the world 5,000 metres record in 1954. He has been a Minister in Conservative Governments, a Managing Director of Orion Royal Bank and Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority.
The Lord Faulkner of Worcester

Lord Faulkner served for 19 years on the Football Trust, latterly as First Deputy Chairman. He was also Chairman of the Sports Ground Initiative until April 2000. He was a member of the Sports Council in the 1980’s and was Vice Chairman of the Government’s Football Task Force. He became a member of the House of Lords in July 1999. He is Vice Chairman of the Parliamentary all party football group and chaired an independent inquiry into betting on sport. Since January 2007 he has been a Trustee of the National Museum of Science and Industry; he is also Chairman of the Railway Heritage Committee.
The Lord Grantchester

Lord Grantchester is a keen enthusiast of team sports. He is Vice President of Oulton Park Cricket Club and has served on the Board of Everton Football Club. He is a member of the House of Lords, where he specialises on agriculture, the rural economy and sports. He is also a director of Cheshire & Warrington Economic Alliance, Dairy Farmers of Britain, and has served as a Board member of various Littlewoods’ companies.
The Baroness McIntosh of Hudnall

Baroness McIntosh has held senior positions in a number of performing arts organisations including Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre and Royal Opera House. She was appointed to the House of Lords in 1999. She currently serves on the Boards of Almeida Theatre, Welsh National Opera, Theatres Trust, National Opera Studio, Roundhouse Trust and Southbank Sinfonia.
Richard Boardley

Richard Boardley was appointed Secretary to the Foundation in early 2004 and a Trustee in January 2007. He is also Director for Corporate Affairs at Sportech Plc, the owner of Littlewoods Pools, and a non-executive director of Charities Trust. His interests span all aspects of sport and the arts. He is married, with twin teenage daughters.
